A5 Video 2
Students will begin on a new video project. They will be making a motivational video. The motivational video will follow the same criteria as their hype videos, the difference will only be in content for the video. Rather than hyping up the school itself, the idea is to now hype up each other. They must choose a relevant topic for motivation, this can be motivation for “Standing up for each other”, “Respecting one another”, “End bullying”, “Protect the earth through recycling and green efforts”, “Believe in yourself”, and even videos based on motivational quotes or sayings. These videos can be comedic, but only to a point. Please remind them that they watched a video with me at the beginning of the semester that had a boy walking around in dramatic shots while dressed in formal attire. The mood was set to the tone of the meme of a boy who stutters profusely and says “Have you ever had a dream that that you um you had you’d you would you could you’d do you wi you wants you you could do so you you’d do you could you you want you want him to do you so much you could do anything?”
The comedy of using this audio and the faded video of the boy in this meme makes the video memorable, and it is a meaningful message that reminds the student body to believe in themselves. As said many times in the Lego Movie, for this project, they need to be in the mindset to create something that sounds like it belongs on a cat poster.
Students will be working on this project for the next two weeks. The video timeframe will be 45 seconds to 1 minute.

B4 Video 1
Students will now practice making videos. They have practiced lighting and cinematography, which should be all turned in. Now they will continue in their groups with a new project, making a School Hype Video. This will take them about 2 weeks to complete. This Google Slide Show has all of the important details for their video. School Hype VideoThey should use their phones to film this video and can edit it together with their choice of software. This can be edited on their phones in “TikTok” style as well, shot vertically and using music available from the app if they so choose. Other editing apps like CapCut can be easily downloaded on their phones to edit as well. Or, students can upload footage that they take for their video to their school account Google Drives and download them from Google Drive onto the desktop on their computer. Then they can edit their videos using Premiere Pro. Here is a YouTube tutorial showing how to use Premiere Pro for beginners if they choose this path: Premiere Pro Tutorial for Beginners 2023 – Everything You NEED to KNOW! (UPDATED)
